Perjalanan III [7]/the journey III [7] Berguru di Mekkah al Mukarommah.
Kebetulan aku membawa selembar catatan do'a dari tanah air, Do'a Jaljalut, Bahasa Suryani, jamannya Nabi Nuh (?) "Biajin ahujin jalajalyu tujaljalat".......... Ndak ada yang tahu artinya..... Bahasa apa ini..... Hanya satu orang yang mulai awal aku nanya senyam senyum saja, Setelah semua orang pergi, tinggal aku dan dia, Mulailah dia buka suara, "he..he..he..." "Namaku Raden Sahid, orang-orang memanggilku Kalijogo", Deg... Jantung rasanya mau copot, Si Orang pasai bersimpuh, jatuh terduduk di kedua lututnya, "Ampuni aku njeng sunan, aku ingin menjadi muridmu, terimalah aku", katanya. bersambung.. Journey III (7) Searching for knowledge in Mecca Al Mukarommah Perhaps the majority of people has assumed that Mecca, Riyadh, Medina are the cities that the knowledge level of Islam itself is magnificent, and the Islamic as well. Allright, I'm gonna tell you about the realities that I went through in there. >From home I had already brought the references of tasawuf scriptures which I >was going to look for in there, They were consisted of 'Risalah Al Qusyoiri', 'Daqoiqul Akbar', 'Daqoiqul Asghar', and still more. . Then when I asked about the scriptures in several bookstores in Mecca, They as if did not know, and they even seemed to be afraid of. I got into several stores, and they had same response upon. Moreover there was anyone who said like this, "Ooo..allright, I have that one", He said while showing off two thick scriptures; "This one is Risalah Al Qusyoiri". "Merchant!", I mumbled to myself. Even though I could not read bare Arabic, I adjusted with the script that I'd bought, it turned out to be totally different precisely! Wow!.I had been cheated successfully! Hearsay after hearsay, Check after check, I asked about this to an Indonesian citizen who had been there for a long time, Then I got the information of it, That the Tasawuf knowledge in Mecca, Medina, Riyadh.was. FORBIDDEN. The books, the Tasawuf Scriptures were forbidden to be published, Moreover so was the scriptures of Imam Ghazali r.a, That was just for Ihya Ulumuddin still being allowed to be published. Trading for Tasawuf Scriptures was a deed of breaking the law. More or less the information I got just what it was available. Then was added by the following information I had gotten, The faith that was being used by the Royal(?), And had been published in society was a faith 'WAHABI', Don't be surprised, the fact that the archaeological remains such as the tombstones were not allowed. To pray before the prophet's tomb was not allowed, it had to be directed before Ka'bah. The tomb of Sayidatina Khodijah and other generals were not able to be differed anymore. There was only a small stone as a sign that was a tomb. I brought a sheet of paper as the note of a prayer from homeland by chance. The prayer was Jaljalut, And the language was Suryani, it was the day of the prophet Noah(?). As I asked the meaning of it to some people in there, Everybody was shocked. "For heaven's sake, this one is a matter of the essence,.this is too hard", he said. "Biajin ahujin jalajalyu tujaljalat..." Nobody knew what the meaning was. What kind of this language was. There was just one person that I had asked to, And he was just smiled. After everybody went, only I and he were left. Then he began to sound a voice, "He..he..he..", he laughed even I did not know why he laughed, "Tasawuf..", he said a bit. Then he began to tell a story any wider, That in Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, the Tasawuf matter or any kind of Thoriqoh were not allowed to be published. If there was, then it had to be hidden stealthily. And he was a disciple of a thoriqoh in Mecca for quite a long. Then, I had gotten several things to learn from him, During the days in Mecca, I put a part of my time to good account to dig some knowledge out of him. His figure was short, with a moustache, slim, And a smile thoroughly pasted on his face. I had no idea where I had heard this one before, "If you are searching for Islam knowledge, you go and get it in Arab country". "But if you want to learn any further about the essence of Islam, Indonesia or around Asia is fine". I thence was thinking big over, I watched on the incidents which had to do with foreign affairs according to the affairs of Arab, The relationship of Arab upon United States of America, the relationship of Iran upon United States, and the relationship of Iraq upon United States, I saw a red thread on the religious practices of Islam. I read the history of Indonesia, It showed up the famous religious leaders in here, The Sunan, the 9th religious leaders, One was Sunan Kalijaga, The story of him was written in a book at Kairo's library as an Islam missionary at the first class of the world. More or less the story was kind like this: Once upon a time, in the land of Samudra Pasai there was an Islam priest who was expert in Fiqih knowledge, Hadits, Tauhid, and much more. One day, he heard about the presence of Sunan Kalijaga in this land of Java. Then he departured by a sailboat while he was bringing two cases of religious books which accorded to the plan would be used as a subject to debate. "Watch out, Sunan! You are going to confess that my knowledge is greater than yours.", he mumbled to himself. Syahdan at the middle of his trip, the storm troubled his sailboat, His two cases which were contained of a lot of books were drowned into the ocean, While he himself was stranded in somewhere. In brief words, he was helped by an inhabitant of a village where he was stranded. He was welcome well. Sometimes he contemplated over his days there, Upon all his books was drowned and he had nothing to do, "If I meet Sunan Kalijaga, how is it going to be?", The subjects which I plan to debate are blown away,.gone away forever. ." One day, a handsome guy with a stick in his hand passed through the village, While the pious priest kept on contemplating his lost, then the priest was being asked by the guy, "My fellow, why are you looking so sad?". Then the priest told everything he had been through from scratch, from Samudra Pasai, sailing, bringing the books which were being the subjects to debate against Sunan Kalijaga, was going to compete over the doctrine, made dialogue, until the sailboat got befallen by the storm, and he was dragged into the ground, meanwhile he had all his books drowned into the ocean. Without bla..bla..bla.., the guy knocked his stick over on the ground, Then some kind of magic or miracle came to pay visit, A swift current water of sea sprouted through out of the stick, The water sparkled, and for quite a long next, Two cases of books of the priest's property were sprung up. The Pasai Priest kept on agape of what had happened, He just watched upon, and the cases right were his roperty, Meanwhile, the handsome guy had left him in astonished. For several seconds the Pasai priest barely woke up, Then he ran to catch up the guy. "What can I say but thank you greatly, I thank..thank you.", he expressed his gratitude to the guy over and over again, "If I may know your name, please.?", he asked. Then the guy responsed, "My name is Raden Sahid, people usually call me Kalijaga.", ................................. (in shock way) He felt his heart would be fallen down into the neverland, The Pasai Priest submitted, then bowed down on his knees, "I beg your mercy, Sunan, I would really love to be your disciple,...please, accept me.", he begged. tobe continued regards huttaqi www.huttaqi.org [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
