Its roots originate from Hadith Qudsi 25: � When I love him (the slave) I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks� When a person looks at Hu and does not look at this world or his own Self, s/he is in the state of Jam' (Togetherness), yet when the person looks away from Hu and does look at this world or even the world after or his own Self, s/he is in the state of Tafraqa (Partition). Both Jam' (Togetherness) and Tafraqa (Partition) are concomitants of our Wujud (Being). The false-Sufis who claim Jam' (Togetherness) without Tafraqa (Partition) are lost, and the Westerner who claims Tafraqa (Partition) and denies all Jam' (Togetherness) is at loss: An Atheist.
