Haqqi exegetes the meaning of this term `light' fundamentally based upon the research of Imam Al-Ghazali on the same subject. Amazingly we find terms such as `virtual existence' as in `existence in knowledge-form', quite similar to the virtual particles of Quantum Mechanics. In Al-Ghazali's treatise, Non-existence is a state as Existence is another state and transience from former to the latter accomplished by the illumination of Divine Light upon the Non-existence. Truly we never "Not Existed", indeed we were in another form within the Divine Knowledge, or you may say we really do "Not Exist" in some absolute form as our Nafs (Psyche, Self) commands us to believe.
