Recently IDP Education Australia Ltd was announced as the contractor to
manage the Australian Partnership Scholarships as part of the Australian
Government's Australia Indonesia Partnership for Reconstruction and
Development.
There will be 300 scholarships made available for post-graduate study in
Australia (Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Masters) in 2005 and
again in 2006. The exciting thing is that Indonesians in possession of a
Bachelor from an overseas university or in possession of a Masters from an
Indonesian university are eligible to apply.
We would greatly appreciate your help in spreading the word to your friends
and colleagues about the Australian Partnership Scholarships.
Scholarships will be made available for study in 3 key areas: Economic
Governance, Public Sector Management and Education. An equal number of
scholarships will be awarded to men and women and 75% will be available to
applicants from the public (ie government) sector and 25% available to
applicants from the private (ie non-government) sector.
All other conditions apply as with the Australian Development Scholarships
(ADS) - including the provision of a living allowance for scholars and their
dependants.
The promotion campaign for the APS commences on June 20th and will run
through to July 15th with promotional visits to all main cities in
Indonesia. The APS website will be running from this date.
I have attached an information sheet for your reference. Currently an APS
brochure is being printed and this will be distributed from June 20th - or
it will be available as a download from the APS website.
