Balik lagi ke buku Perkins, kalau buku itu mengandung kebenaran 100% -logika saya- harusnya sudah menjadi pembicaraan dimana2 oleh orang2 yg berkompeten. Seperti kasus2 watergate, iraq, israel, dll. Tapi kok sepi2 aja disana? Atau Mas Tony bisa membantu? Saya tidak suka asal percaya dg website2 yang tidak jelas juga referensinya. Di koran2 ternama US tidak ada saya temukan pembahasan isi buku tsb (atau terlewat oleh saya?) I did go to "Barnes and Noble" last night and did check out his book, it's a bestseller but I didn't buy it, too bad huh?! (anyway it's only for $17.46, go get it while it's hot) saya dpt mengerti kalo tdk banyak orang tahu/kenal dg si JP ini, karena menurut dia sendiri; 1. After writing his book, Perkins was turned down by almost every major publishing house until a small family-owned company named Berret-Koehler in San Francisco took the risk and published his book. 2. None of the major corporate radio or television stations will have me on, said Perkins. Isnt that interesting? Nobody who is owned by a big corporation or depends on big corporations for advertising has interviewed me at this point. ----> apakah ini salah satu sebab dia gak begitu terkenal, ah who knows?! Im not sure whether to believe him or not, but then again I can always treat his book as a mystery fiction kind of book; it sure does make it a lot more interesting to me...That is if Im thinking of buying his book but Ive seen better books while I was there, beside I already know whats going on, so its no longer a mystery. eh mbak Fau gak usah penasaran banget ama si JP, benar atau tdknya dia bisa kita telaah/pelajari kembali dr apa yg terjadi saat ini di Indo atau di negara miskin lainnya.
