INIKAH *nanoteknologi* yang di-bual2kan setinggi langit oleh Roy Sembel, Yohanes Surya dan Mochtar Riady sejak akhir2 ini??? Seperti yang sudah saya ramalkan, semua itu ternyata berakhir dengan FIASCO yang pada akhirnya membuat para pengagasnya terpuruk semakin dalam kedalam lubang yang mereka gali sendiri.
Dibawah ini saya kutipkan cuplikan dari website terbaru tentang FRAUD dalam gene-technology, seperti yang dijalankan dalam nanoteknologinya Mochtar Riady, Roy Sembel dan Yohanes Surya, yang memang maksudnya mau diimport dari Korea (sebab di Koreapun sudah banyak pakar yang menentang atas dasar alasan etika dan moral). Namun sekarang ternyata (baca tulisan saya yang lain yang saya postingkan parallel dengan tulisan ini) bahwa hasil2 yang dicapai di Korea tidak lain adalah FRAUD (pemalsuan hasil2 ilmiah) dan PSEUDOSCIENCE. Jadi sekarang ramalan saya sejak baru2 ini sudah menjadi KENYATAAN yang telah TERBUKTI: Nanoteknologinya Mochtar Riady, Roy Sembel dan Yohanes Surya bukan saja termasuk PSEUDOSCIENCE, tetapi malahan sekarang terbukti sebagai FRAUD dalam dunia ilmiah, yang didunia IPTEK negara2 maju adalah suatu perbuatan BUNUH-DIRI buat reputasinya sendiri, disamping melanggar kaidah moral dan etika. Cita2 si Roy Sembel bahwa Indonesia dibawah pimpinan Dr. Yohanes Surya dan Dr. Mochtar Riady bakalan menjadi PELOPOR dan PEMIMPIN DUNIA dalam nanoteknologi sekarang SUDAH BENAR-BENAR TERCAPAI: Indonesia benar2 sudah menjadi Pelopor dan Pemimpin Dunia, tetapi dalam bidang FRAUD ilmiah dan PSEUDOSCIENCE. Himbauan saya kepada para Ilmuwan dan Inteligensia Indonesia yang serius, lekas2lah TINGGALKAN sokongan + bualan kalian tentang hasil2 yang *gilang gemilang* dari komplotannya Dr. Yohanes Surya dan Dr. Mochtar Riady yang tergabung di Universitas Pelita Harapan, jika kalian semua tidak ingin ikut2an mendapat cap sebagai pelaku FRAUD dalam dunia ilmiah, yang jika ditambah dengan penilaian etika dan moral otomatis juga menjadi pelaku tindakan KRIMINAL. Roh Sung-il, an executive at MizMedi Hospital in Seoul, said stem- cell pioneer Hwang Woo-suk told him nine of 11 reported cell lines were faked. Roh reportedly said he had doubts about the remaining two lines. Roh also said Hwang told him that his stem cells had died and that he had presented ones from Roh's laboratory as his own in their paper in the journal Science. The paper, published May 19, reported the creation of 11 human embryo clones using DNA from patients. According to the paper, the embryos were then used to create individualized stem-cell lines, an achievement that offered the long-sought possibility of creating personalized stem-cell therapies for anyone. That paper and one published last year by Hwang's group were hailed as a big step toward the ability to grow customized tissues for transplantation into people with failing organs. "If it's true, it's going to go down as probably the biggest scandal in science," said Insoo Hyun, a bioethicist at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, who spent the summer in Hwang's lab. "Even cold fusion didn't get this worldwide attention." Thursday night, a second Hwang colleague, assistant dean Lee Wang- jae of Seoul National University, told the South Korean media that nine of the 11 cell lines did not exist and the validity of the other two was also in doubt. "We can declare today a day of national infamy," Lee said. The development also is an embarrassment to South Korea, where Hwang is regarded as a national hero for propelling the country to the forefront of stem-cell research. Hwang has been hospitalized for stress over much of the past week. He declined to comment Thursday night. He returned to his laboratory today. Roh's statements were reported by three television networks and in the Korea Times. Neither he nor Hwang nor their sole U.S. collaborator, Gerald Schatten of the University of Pittsburgh, could be contacted directly. None returned messages Thursday. It was unclear whether the suspicion was that Hwang had made stem cells but misrepresented some details about them, or that he had never made them at all. Consequently, the scientific community was left with little more than secondhand reports that a 25-author paper generally agreed to be one of the most important published this year was fraudulent. The four top editors of Science sent e-mail messages Thursday to all of the paper's authors seeking clarification. "We basically want them to come directly to us if they have any questions about the data in the papers," Executive Editor Monica M. Bradford said. Science has received no request for a retraction from Roh, Hwang or any of their collaborators, she added. Hwang, 53, rose to prominence in February 2004, when he published a paper describing the creation of the first cloned human embryo. The delicate procedure involves squeezing the genetic material out of a human egg and replacing it with DNA from an adult cell. Then the egg is treated with a chemical and bathed in nutrients to encourage it to divide as if it were fertilized naturally. After several days, the embryo was destroyed to harvest stem cells, prized for their ability to become any type of cell in the body. That achievement paved the way for the study in May, which appeared to show that it was possible to clone embryos from patients with ailments that potentially could be treated with stem-cell therapies. Although many have been trying, the work has yet to be replicated by other researchers. Hwang previously attributed his success to the Korean custom of using metal chopsticks, which fosters the dexterity needed to carry out the delicate experiments. His team in August unveiled the first cloned dog, a frisky Afghan puppy. The animal named Snuppy, for Seoul National University Puppy was featured last month on the cover of Time magazine as the "Invention of the Year." Accusations of misconduct surfaced last month, when Schatten, of the University of Pittsburgh, raised questions about the procurement of eggs used in the initial research. Hwang later acknowledged that an associate paid women $1,400 to provide eggs and that other eggs were donated by women who worked in his lab. Although the actions weren't illegal, they go against international ethical norms. The allegations became more serious this month. South Korean scientists studied photos of the 11 stem-cell colonies in the May study and determined they all depicted the same group of cells. Hwang's explanation was that the photos were mixed up before being published by Science. But a junior researcher in Hwang's lab told the MBC television network the photos were intentionally doctored. "I just did what he told me," the researcher said in a documentary that aired Thursday night. The researcher, identified only as "Kim," said he took multiple photos of a single stem-cell line from different angles to make it appear "that there were more than there really were." ------------------------ Yahoo!
