Pola pikiran ialah melemahkan Hisbullah sebagai negara dalam negara Libanon dan tidak menganggu Israel dengan mengirim roket atau mortir. Dalam konflik sekarang ini kelihatannya Hisbullah tidak mendapat dukungan dari Mesir, Jordania dan Arab Saudia dan oleh karena itu mereka diam. Alasan yang mungkin membuat negeri-negeri tsb berbuat demikian ialah Hisbullah didukung oleh Iran, jadi latar belakang agama aliran "Shia" juga adalah juga salah satu faktor.
