TOKYO: 8 won't return bonuses over pensions THE ASAHI SHIMBUN* Showing no remorse over the pension debacle, six former top bureaucrats of the welfare ministry and two former chiefs of the Social Insurance Agency have refused to return part of their past bonuses, an official said. The eight cited family matters and other reasons, according to the senior government official. "They lack responsibility and do not understand the public's anger," the official said, adding that the government plans to ask them again to comply.
