*Matsushita, WWF to jointly save ecological systems in Yellow Sea* OSAKA, Sept. 7 KYODO Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. said Friday it has agreed with the World Wildlife Fund to carry out a joint project to save ecological systems in the Yellow Sea exposed to serious environmental disruptions resulting from China's rapid economic development. To implement the project in Japan, China and South Korea, Matsushita has become the first ''corporate supporter'' of the WWF among Asian companies and will provide a total of 170 million yen in capital to the global environmental conservation organization over the coming seven years, according to the consumer electronics maker known for its Panasonic brand.
