*SR 306 billion invested in 3, 808 productive factories 2 Riyadh* The statistics issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry highlighted the establishment of 14 industrial cities in the Kingdom with a total area of more than 90 million square meters. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is currently implementing a number of new industrial cities, with some under development and others to be developed in the future. "The total expenditure on the development of these cities until the end of the first quarter of 1425 AH., amounted to more than SR 2, 500 million," the statistics disclosed. The industry has significantly developed in the Kingdom during the last 30 years and the industrial sector witnessed significant growth in terms of quantity and quality. This is attributed to the efforts exerted by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince to build the country's strong industrial base.
