*Palestinian Woman from Gaza Gets First Prize and Title of "Woman of the Year"* * GAZA, December 2, 2007 (WAFA)-Director Center for Women's Affairs in Gaza, Naila Ayesh has got the first prize and the title of "Woman of the Year" for the current year, 2007, in the recent contest organized by the "Aosta" regional Council in Italy. The prize, supported by the Office of the Italian President,was awarded to Ayish for her activities in the field of human rights, peace and international solidarity and the march of its continuing efforts to achieve justice and equality for Palestinian women. In a word on access to the prize, Ayish considered that this award is not only for her but also for every Palestinian woman and to all the wounded, the sick and the travel ban from the Palestinian people.
