Iran, Morocco sign five MoUs on bilateral cooperation
Commerce ministers of Iran and Morocco on Tuesday signed five Memoranda of
Understanding on bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
The documents were signed by Massoud Mir-Kazemi of Iran and the Moroccan
Minister of Foreign Trade, Abdul Latif Mazouz at the end of the 5th session of
Iran-Morocco joint trade and economic commission which started on February 23
in the Iranian capital.
Iran is the second supplier of oil to Morocco.
The two ministers also signed four agreements on Tehran-Rabat cooperation in
the fields of shipping, custom duties, tourism and industrial activities.
Iran and Morocco experienced a growing trade relations during the past couple
of years. Latest figures show that the volume of the two countries non-oil
trade exchanges stood at more than dollars 14 million in the first three
quarters of the current Iranian calendar year (stared March 21, 2007).
