The Apostles, Prophets and saints are people who are loved by Allah Taala. They are the chosen ones whom Allah loves and whom Allah gives attention to. But why does God impose so much trials and tribulations upon them? Why are they put into difficulties? Why are they poor? Whereas leaders and dignitaries who are infidels (kafir), hypocrites (munafiq) and unbecoming (fasiq) are given comfort, are given luxury and are given wealth. Why? There are several covert reasons for this. Among them: i. So that they will always maintain a strong feeling of subservience towards God. They will only rely and put their hopes upon God. God is their only savior. These are the characteristics of a servant that Allah Taala prefers. Upon these feelings lie His acceptance and love. With that Allah Taala awards them high status and rank in paradise which is eternal. ii. Allah Taala wants to tell and to teach mankind that worldly materials and luxuries are worthless compared to the materials and luxuries of the Hereafter.
