Iran-UAE trade exceeds $12b
Trade between Iran and United Arab Emirates exceeded dlrs 12 billion in the
past Iranian year, Advisor to Minister of Commerce said.
Addressing the monthly meeting of Iran-Dubai commerce council, Hossein
Soltaninia said that Iran's major export to UAE was gas and oil products making
up for almost 75 percent and that non-oil exports included the remaining 25
percent.
Soltaninia, who is also the manager of the national project on organizing
Iran's cultural, trade and economic relations in the Persian Gulf zone, noted
that the project aims to boost economic power and security of the country.
Strengthening national sovereignty, developing infrastructures and making the
atmosphere of competitive economy in the country are the plan's objectives, he
added.
Soltaninia said that a service center was launched in Qeshm Island last year to
facilitate implementation of the plan.
