The ancient Shatranj Irfani has been the inspiration behind the
popular snakes and ladders game. Please download the image of the
board and print on regular size paper and play the game, like the
popular snakes and ladder game, while you can look up the words in the
provided lexicon to understand the Sufi terminologies.

This particular board for Sufi Muslim Snakes and Ladders Game is found
in the collection of Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, similar boards are
found, in London and Cambridge collections. We took the Maqams
(squares) from early 19th-century Sufi Muslim board, original texts
was in Persian and translated from Persian to English.

The antidotes for the snake bites provided by referring to the seminal
work of Sheikh Abdur-Rahman Sullami' The Defects of Nafs.
