ENGLISH VERSION | CONFLICT RESOLUTION The European Union (EU) has become an important global actor, not only as the largest actor for developmental assistances but also for its peace-keeping missions. Since January 2003 European Security and Defense Policy (ESDP) has been engaged in several missions including in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the Democratic of Congo, Kosovo and Aceh.
