*Rosnanotech heads to hold press conference in New York July 24* On July 24, delegate members of Russia's Rosnanotech will hold a press conference in New York on the delegation's first visit to the USA. The general director of Rosnanotech, Mr. Leonid Melamed, and the deputy general director of Rosnanotech's International Relations Department, Mr. Alexander Losyukov, will be the key speakers at the press conference. The delegation's visit to the US is intended to acquaint them with their American colleagues and is geared toward establishing contacts with American partners and discussing the possible practical cooperation between the USA and Russia with regard to nanotechnology. "The United States of America is without doubt the world leader in nanotechnology. This is the reason we are placing special emphasis on our visit to the USA. During our visit, we are planning on getting a more detailed understanding of the principles of the USA's National Nanotech Initiatives and will look into their experience in commercializing nanotechnology. It is important for us to let our American colleagues know about our corporation's goals, tasks and main areas of activity. We are open to dialogue and are looking for serious discussions," stated the general director of Rosnanotech, Leonid Melamed. The delegation's first stop will be Washington, DC, where the corporation's delegates will meet with the director of the US National Nanotechnology Coordination Office, Mr. Clayton Teague, as well as members of the interagency Nanoscale Science, Engineering, and Technology subcommittee. In Washington, the delegation will also visit the Center for Nanoscale Science and Technology of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NANOFAB). On July 18, there will be an official welcoming of the delegation in the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the USA, where Rosnanotech's general director, Leonid Melamed, will give a formal presentation of the corporation to guests, including journalists from the US and Russia (approximately 150 guests will be present) On July 21-22, the corporation's delegation will be in Denver to participate in the Nano Renewable Energy Summit, where Leonid Melamed will be one of the speakers during the summit.
