1,700 tons of sodium sulfate powder exported abroad
Semnan, Aug. 9, IRNA

Iran-Sodium-Powder
Over 1,700 tons of sodium sulfate powder, worth 300,000 dollars, have been
exported aboard during the current Iranian calendar year starting on March 20,
2008.

Announcing this, head of Iran Mineral Salt Company added the figure shows a 17
percent decline compared to the same period the previous year.

Abbas Zandi cited rising demand on domestic market as the main reason behind
the decline in the amount of export.

"The products have been exported to Persian Gulf littoral states, Armenia, Sri
Lanka, Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia," Zandi Said.

He anticipated that over 43,000 tons of sodium sulfate powder will be produced
by the company by the end of current Iranian year.
