Was-was itu namanya pak. Was-was itu adalah bisikan untuk melanggar larangan Allah dengan berbagai cerita rekayasa untuk pembenarannya.
Was-was sebentuk dengan shal-shal (tanah liat). Ada 4 kali shal-shal hadir di al-qur'an yang merujuk pada manusia yang dibentuk dari shal-shal (tanah liat yang biasa2 saja tapi direkayasa sedemikian rupa sehingga menjadi suatu bentuk yang lain yang jauh lebih hebat dari asalnya). Hanya kata shal-shal yang sewazan(semodel) dengan kata was-was, yang mengarahkan kita untuk merenungi..... Bahwa was-was itu adalah sesuatu cerita yang direkayasa sedemikian indah (analog dg shal-shal), padahal tujuannya tak lain hanyalah untuk melanggar larangan Allah. Itulah pekerjaan setan terhadap manusia yang dimulai oleh moyang setan yakni Iblis kepada moyang kita Adam dan Hawa. Maka setan membisikkan pikiran jahat kepada keduanya (fa-waswasa lahuma asy-syaythanu) untuk menampakkan kepada keduanya apa yang tertutup dari mereka yaitu auratnya dan setan berkata: "Tuhan kamu tidak melarangmu dari mendekati pohon ini, melainkan supaya kamu berdua tidak menjadi malaikat atau tidak menjadi orang yang kekal (dalam surga)". (Q:7:20).
