Iran, Russia, Qatar form gas troika Tehran, Oct 21, IRNA Iran-Russia-Qatar-Gas Russian Gazprom Chief Executive Alexei Miller said on Tuesday that Iran, Russia, Qatar have established a big gas troika. "Today, a big gas troika comprising Iran, Russia and Qatar has been formed," Miller told reporters on Tuesday at the end of a trilateral meeting with Iranian Oil Minister Gholam-Hossein Nozari and Qatari Oil Minister Abdullah Al-Attiyah. Miller said, "Regarding the strategic interests of the three countries in the gas sector and their capacity in the gas industry and also given the fact that the three countries hold three fifth of the world's total gas reserves, it was decided that the three states have coordinated and regular contacts." He said that within framework of the troika, the three sides will have regular meetings and the next such meeting will be held in the next three to four months.
