Thursday, 26 February, 2009 | 13:53 WIB
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The government is again seeking loans from the
Japanese government in order to fund the deficits through an additional loan
program amounting Rp1,1 trillion. The Finance Department's Debt Management
director-general, Rahmat Waluyanto, said the government is only exploring the
plan for funding support.

"This is a regular loan program. It is still being processed, including the one
from Japan," Rahmat said following a meeting with the Finance and Banking
Commission yesterday. Previously, the government and the Funding Committee had
agreed to add the deficit to Rp139,5 trillion (2,5 percent from GDP).
