*Car production capacity up by 54 percent* *Tehran*, March 4, IRNA -- Capacity for auto manufacturing in the country increased by more than 54 percent since the ninth government took office. The capacity for producing cars was some 100,000 units in early years of the Islamic Revolution and the figure rose to 970,000 before the incumbent government took office in 2004. The figure increased to 1.5 million in 2007, registering a 54 percent rise compared to the figure for four years ago.
