*Aluminum output to reach 360,000 tons by March * *Tehran, April 22, IRNA* -- Aluminum production will reach 360,000 tons by the end of current Iranian year (to end on March 20), said deputy minister of industries and mines. Speaking at *the International Conference on Aluminum Wednesday, Mohammad Masoud Sameinejad* added that if this figure is achieved, aluminum production will register an rise of 45 percent. Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) seeks to increase aluminum production to 1.5 million tons by 2025 to give Iran a suitable standing in Asia. According to him, some 39 million tons of aluminum were produced throughout the world, of which over two million tons were produced in Persian Gulf littoral states. Sameinejad added that Iran holds 12 percent of the region's aluminum but with the implementation of development projects in the near future, it will be transformed into one of the top ten producers in the world.
