Iranian students read books less than two minutes a day

TEHRAN (MNA) - Iranian students per capital book reading is under two minutes 
in every 24 hours, deputy minister of education said here on Tuesday. 


According to a recent study conducted by state Ministry of Culture and Islamic 
Guidance, "Iranian students read books less than 53 minutes per month," Bahram 
Mohamadian said. 

"Of course, students' schoolbooks are not taken into consideration," Mohamadian 
averred, calling for more tremendous efforts to promote reading in the society
