Apache Jena uses: https://github.com/apache/jena/blob/main/.github/pull_request_template.md Which is what I used as a guide for the initial draft of this change. I see now that it confuses developer and committer tasks. I believe that there is a fine line to walk in the pull request template: - Not too much detail, not too long. - Not demanding. - Provides guidance for new contributors - Reminds infrequent contributors of what this project expects, vs other project's expectations. - Welcoming -- perhaps the first touch by a contributor to this project. - Provides references to help newbies resolve any questions from the guidance. I like the spark tips list.
