Apologies for the delay @ankur-dauneria... trying to juggle too many things. 2.17.2 has definitely taken longer to get out than I'd planned on. I'm considering shrinking up this release to include the fixes in review so far (including this fix) and [CASSCPP-6](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSCPP-6), mainly to facilitate getting our first ASF CPP release out more quickly. We'd then move on to a 2.18.0 which would include the other things originally slated for 2.17.2 as well as a few other (more significant) fixes. If we pursue that course I would expect 2.17.2 to come together fairly quickly. We have PRs for two out of the three fixes I want to include and I have a good idea for how to address CASSCPP-6.
