Many of the "SuppressWarnings" are for what I assume are IntelliJ specific treatment. I've picked out what I think might be important in the comments above and these are fixed or understood. That's enough. For me, when the release manager, clean build is important - makes it possible to see when new warnings appear. Next step is to do a VOTE on the dev@jena mailing list (that's my task). It can be a lazy vote (assumed consensus). That is needs to opne for a few days (to cover some business days, and weekend, and national May holidays).
