The script (which was apparently my script "analyse_tier.praat")
downloaded from
http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/praat-users/files/Daniel_Hirst/
uses the default options on Praat for getting maximum and minimum
values of f0 which are
Unit: Hertz, Interpolation: Parabolic
so they should give the same values you get when you do it manually
unless you changed the default values to do that.
If you want to use non-default values ( eg Interpolation= None ) then
you should modify the script accordingly, ie replace "Parabolic" by
"None".
The deviations you found could come from the automatic max-min option
- but you can disable that when you run the script by unselecting the
box "automatic min max" and using the same min max values you used
when you did the manual estimations
if you still get deviations send me a copy of one of the files
together with the values you obtain and I'll see if I can see why
