OCSP Consultancy Announcement The consulting company DAI is managing a USAID-sponsored orangutan conservation program (OCSP) and is recruiting an Ecologist for a two month periodto assist OCSP and partners conserve orangutan and their habitat in NorthernSumatra . This consultancy is to evaluate and describe the environment in two selected sub-watersheds in Dairi and PhakPak Bharat, North Sumatra , and to assist partners working with six villages develop community conservation plans. The first part of this consultancy will be a desk top study to gather existing information. After this he/she will conduct a rapid field assessment aimed at identifying important areas of biodiversity, threats to these areas and the enabling environment for implementation of conservation activities to abate these threats. A university degree in ecology/biology/conservation and 5 years of related work experience is required. The position is located in Medan .
