As someone has already queried, I'd better explain.

As he previously announced, Gordon Irlam is taking down his old server, base.com and no longer wants to host the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list.

I offered, and he took me up on re-hosting the list. Due to some issues with setting up DNS and how long its taking, I've initialized the list on my 'personal' domain as [EMAIL PROTECTED] If/when the DNS issues are sorted out, this will become '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' but right now, thats not working.

We copied all the existing subscribers from the old to the new list. You all should have gotten a subscribe notice.

The new list is managed via a web page, http://hogranch.com/mailman/listinfo/prime ... to control your personal settings (such as digest mode, no mail mode, etc), you will need your email address as subscribed, and a password. the subscribe notice contains an automatically generated random password, feel free to change this via the webpage...

A few notes here... My mail server has fairly strong antispam protection on it, this sometimes causes messages to be tagged with {Spam?} or {SPAM!} in the Subject: ... If this is happening to your messages, bring it to my attention, and I'll try to dig up the root causes and fix them.

Also, all messages sent by the list server will be marked with subject [Prime] so you can use this to filter to a special folder or whatever, rather than the previous "Mersenne:"

I've set the list to default all 'replys' to go back to the list rather than to the original sender, if too many folks object to this, I can change it back.

I just realized, I should have sent out this announcement FIRST to the old list. My apologies.
