Are these really necessary?
as Greg pointed out, you can choose to disable these reminders, via http://hogranch.com/mailman/options/prime
Set "Get password reminder email for this list?" to No after logging in with your email and password.
I can turn these off globally if enough people complain, it is the default Mailman option to send them. I believe if they are turned off globally, noone can turn them back on individually.
