It's hard to follow the mathematics, which rambles and does not form a cohesive proof or even line of argument.
indeed, as an engineer rather than a scientist or mathematician, I am suspicious of any math that is convoluted and hard to comprehend.
then again, one of my favorite bumper stickers is 'eschew obfuscation'.
