Except that there are now >41< Mersenne primes (and thus even perfect numbers) - that 
is, unless somebody has recently discovered a 42nd one and we are awaiting 
confirmation :). It *is* true that the 39 smallest are known, and it will be some time 
before we know how the two most recently confirmed will rank. But seriously, this 
thread has run its course unless the method discussed can be proven to speed up the 
process of discovering new Mersenne primes.
