First, excuse my bad english (It's not my native language, I'm french).
Then, I have 2 questions :
1�) On the page "http://www.mersenne.org/source.htm";, you say that "this code is highly optimized Intel assembly language". I've a look on the GIMPS source code and I've not seen ASM code. Does it mean that you've written GIMPS in ASM or in C ?
the prime95 zip file there ('source22.zip') contains a TON of .ASM and .MAC (macro include files).
2�) Is the GIMPS project more than the association of Prime95 and a client (for distributed calculation)? Did you improve Prime95 algorithms?
gimps is the aggregate of prime95, the mersenne/entropy.org servers, and other clients like mprime
prime95 has been refined over the years for the latest processors and ever larger exponents.
