Team,
I see lots of
discussion here and in the forums about Prime95 putting a lot of heat stress on
the system, and being a good "torture test".
However other DC
apps also run flat out and could be good torture tests too.
For example [EMAIL PROTECTED] has some discussion about
overloading laptops, if you turn on the SSE extended instruction
set.
And no doubt some of
the Boinc apps do the same - Seti, Einstein, LHC, Protein,
Climate.
Does anyone have a
handle on which of these DC apps would load/overheat the machine the most
?
I don't think any of
the ones above have a torture test where they detect wrong results being
computed, like Prime95 does.
