I'm not quite sure what you're asking, exactly. If you want to test an arbitrary number to see if it is prime, check Chris Caldwell's web site: http://www.utm.edu/research/primes/ ... for lots of good information. If, instead, you want to test a particular Mersenne number - rather than whichever ones the Primenet server gives you - George Woltman's Prime95 program can do that.
