Not at all.  Consumers are already accepting and buying dual-core
laptops, probably without even thinking about it.  A dual-core machine
is only marginally more expensive than a single-core. 
Migros-Electronics in Switzerland is currently offering a
Fujitsu-Siemens dual-core laptop at SFr1299 - only a couple of months
ago, I purchased two Lenovo Thinkpads at SFr1199 each.

Well, we're not quite there with the 8 or 16 core machines just yet, but
the direction is quite clear.  Is a dual-core license for Photoshop
more expensive than a single-core - I don't know.  But it won't stop
the dual-core machines from selling.
