Presumably after 8 years, you realise that the amount of computational effort expended in generating the exponents is totally trivial compared to the months spent analysing the resulting Mersenne numbers. I read your paper; it was very simple and contributes nothing new. I wrote the Everything2 article that you reference and I was 15 at the time, so it's really not anything advanced. If you manage to get it published then you can consider my hat eaten. Meanwhile I suggest you learn a language other than Ruby if you want to do any serious mathematical computation.
