MSNBC celebrates history and heroes this weekend on the 60th Anniversary of D-Day.
With special coverage, taking you back to the beaches of Normandy. Hear first hand
accounts from a real-life Band of Brothers who fought for freedom against all odds.
Don't miss this MSNBC living history event, hosted by Joe Scarborough (from Normandy,
France), Dan Abrams, Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann and Lester Holt. Our coverage
also includes special programming hosted by NBC News' Tom Brokaw.
Programming highlights for SATURDAY, JUNE 5th include:

"The Abrams Report" (6-7:00 p.m. ET)...Dan Abrams focuses on the security, intelligence
and secrecy leading up to the invasion.
"Countdown with Keith Olbermann" (7-8:00 p.m. ET)...Keith explores five things you
didn't
know about D-Day, including the little-known fact that baseball legend Yogi Berra -
was a young Navy sailor who participated in the invasion at Omaha beach. Olbermann
sits down with the baseball legend, for a discussion about the invasion changed his
life, and his career.
"June 6, 1944: As It Happened" with Lester Holt ( 8-10:00 p.m. ET)... Experience D-day
as it happened 60 years ago, with live reports from key locations in France and
elsewhere - as though the invasion were actually taking place at that moment. With the
benefit of modern technology, MSNBC will convey the emotion, drama and the massive
coordination required for such an invasion.
"Scarborough Country" (10-11:00 p.m. ET)... Joe Scarborough telecasts from Normandy,
taking an emotional journey with several D-Day veterans as they travel from the museum
at Caen, to Omaha Beach.

guests, including Senator John McCain (R-AZ), to discuss the legacy and historical

Jane Pauley anchors a special edition of "Time and Again", looking back at the
legendary Oscar winning film, "The Longest Day."
"The Greatest Generation" (9-10:00 p.m. ET)
Join Tom Brokaw, for a special documentary inspired by his best-selling book "The
Greatest Generation."
"Scarborough Country" (10-11:00 p.m. ET)... Joe continues his coverage from France
including an interview with Secretary of the Army, Les Brownlee.
