Looking at sunsolve.sun.com the patch 127111-01 seems to be a long way out of date, its latest version seems to be 127111-09 (SunOS 5.10: kernel patch), so maybe that needs updating. But having said that I don't see why a kernel patch should affect your printing of pdf, so it is probably someother patch in the patch cluster that was installed that has affected it. Is the version of CUPS (cups v1.16) you gave correct it doesn't seem correct to me? Where was that cups package installed from (CCD, Blastwave, etc)? paul
