Downloaded the OpenSolaris preview ISO (osol-1002-123-x86.iso) and found the same problem.
If I change the defined printer model from a Photosmart c6280 to a Laserjet 4 for example so that the foomatic driver is replaced by a postscript one the printing does work (output is garbage, as the Photosmart does not understand Postscript). Configuring my printer as any HP non foomatic printer results in the job being sent to the printer, eg Paintjet or Deskjet 980c. Using the foomatic driver results in the print job disappearing into /dev/null -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
