The race condition that you mention is mentioned in that bug report and tracked in bugster as "6909592 print/service-selector races with manifest-import". It should be fixed in build 131 (the RTI was filed yesterday), but has a simple workaround. "pfexec svcadm restart print/service-selector" The system-config-printer issues will in part be fixed in build 131 when python2.6 becomes the default python. I don't know about the missing python module but the right people are on the CC list for 13626 to get it fixed if it isn't already being fixed in 131. (I don't have time to look right now). At any rate, you should be able to use the web interface to configure CUPS until system-config-printer is working again (http://localhost:631/admin/) Have a Happy New Year. -Norm
