Your printer should work under CUPS + Gutenprint 5.2.4. CUPS has been in OpenSolaris for a while now and is the default print service on a fresh install as of build 129. Gutenprint (formerly gimpprint) was upgraded to 5.2.4 in build 127. So your printer should work on the current development builds of OpenSolaris and on the 2010.03 release. Of course you will want to verify that. The livecd images should include CUPS and Gutenprint, so you *should* be able to try and verify that it works by booting off a LiveCD or LiveUSB image, plugging in your printer, creating a queue for it, and printing. Look on genunix.org for the Live* images.
