hi - we have never been able to solve our issue with setting the default page size in the print dialog.
if we were to create a new printer queue if we go the cups admin page for that new queue - we can see the default page size is set correctly - i.e. 6x4 even though our printers supports physical media up to 6x9 - we wanted the default size to be 6x4 and it shows correctly in the admin page and if we were to use the lp command or drop image to the queue - it will print the 6x4 correctly with the expected 6x4 crop of the photo printing out a 6x4 size cut media (the 6x9 media can print and cut to 6x4 size) however, with the Print Dialog - say in Preview.app the Paper Size always seem to show up initially at “other” and details that it is the US Letter size dimensions which happens to be default paper size option in the system preferences Printer & Scanner panel and if i were to change it to US Legal size in the Printer&Scanner pref panel the Print Dialog will show “other” and this time details show the US Legal size dimensions is there a way to make the Print Dialog show the Default Paper Size for the selected printer model in the Print Dialog? is there something we are not doing in our PPD that can override this behavior?
