ahoy all,

on a first/fresh Gentoo+pro-audio install, had same problem and saw same bug report. found this workaround on Gentoo forums:

http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-726434-highlight-libffado+sandbox.html

which basically says to turn off sandbox for that 1 emerge:

FEATURES="-SANDBOX" emerge LIBFFADO

i do not know enough about Gentoo yet to know how bad/good. but JACK+FFADO+Ardour seem to be working with it.

peace, w

but I expect a lot of users will eventually run into this bug
and it would be nice to fix it in the overlay.

tell me about it, i ended up using ubuntu again cause was never able to
get jack and ffado to cooperate under gentoo :S
i will try again in a moment.. is a question of booting into it and
finding out if i hit it again.
