Folks, I just wanted to clarify something. Please don't get the impression that digidesign doesn't care about accessibility. They do. The problem is that, given the recent change to Intel chips and the need for universal binary versions of the applications, their priority has been clearly defined for them. Frankly, the potential community of blind users is a drop in the bucket. That doesn't mean that they're not aware or intend on making Pro Tools accessible. We have to remember that this is happening on a corporate clock, not like you're typical taking the car to the garage to have it fixed. Just wanted to make sure that people don't antagonize Digidesign and approach the situation from a militant standpoint that will do much more harm than good. We all want access and, for what it's worth, it'll take time and concerted effort, I'm sure.
Perhaps another conference call will be appropriate in the near future. I'll see if I can get a hold of Rick and Jerry Antonelli. _______________________________________________ ProAudio mailing list [email protected] http://macvisionaries.com/mailman/listinfo/proaudio_macvisionaries.com
