Logic does have a reasonably good scoring facility for a midi sequencer,
much better than the one in Cubase, for instance, in my opinion. In the past
I used it for all my composition work. But not really a dedicated scoring
programme.

Finale is a very powerful program, but many people, myself included, find it
arcane and hard to use, with a steep learning curve. There is a completely
free version, Finale Notepad, which you could always download and try.

Sibelius is powerful and well-designed, particularly in terms of user
interface. One of the original design aims seems to have been a very well
thought-out set of key commands, and the manual even recommends learning to
use the program with the mouse on the floor! We have a blind student at the
college we teach in who is just starting to learn it. Two problems; I'm
finding it hard to braille the key commands for him because of the way the
helpfiles are laid out, and Supernova always jumping away to the wrong part
of the screen...
