Using your Nikon lenses optimised for film doesn't seem to be recommended.
Perhaps there's a company that can adapt or collimate them to the S2 body.

every intention of doing so before I make my purchase. The $400 you save on
the S2 by buying the D60 can go towards a new lens, of course. It's a
consideration if you don't constantly download images. Then there's USB2 to
consider. The S2 can also store compressed RAW files whereas the D60 can
only store RAW.
