Richard I have to take issue with you on this point. IF its a potential scam, OR sharp practice situation ,it may well be helpful to some listmembers if contact is initiated to be aware that the seller is simply doing a standard ring around rather than actually be interested in a particular type of image. It could save listmembers spending money to gain access to a market which although sounding promising ,is really rather nebulous. It is probably better to have an agent with market knowledge,who is paid a commission on actual sales, rather than pay someone for potential sales which perhaps they may never make or indeed even try to make.
