Hi,

I'm trying to create a bunch of prints for tomorrow and something rather
bizarre has occurred. (Always does at 9pm before a delivery).

Here's the oddity. The picture where I noticed the problem has a mid-blue
sky, but the top 1.5 cm of the sky carries a heavy yellow cast in the print
which is not in the image data. In Photoshop I placed eye droppers, with a
5x5 sample size inside the band and outside it to see if the cast is in the
image data.

Point 1 - inside cast area ... C75% M24% Y11% K8%
Point 2 - outside cast ... C71% M25% Y10% K6%

I've also sent a print to my Epson 1290, this did not show the cast.
Confirming the image data is not the source of the problem.

I'm printing from a flattened file. Printer nozzle check showed a couple of
missing specks in the photo black, which wouldn't seem to cause this
problem. All ink cartridges are 1/2 - 3/4 full.

It's in the first part of the image being printed.

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Cheers

Paul Freeman
